Case Summary: Mr. Liu from Beijing relocates to Vancouver, Canada
Vancouver is a major port city and important economic center in Canada, as well as the political, cultural, tourism and transportation hub of western Canada. Its natural scenery, trendy neighborhoods, multicultural atmosphere, outdoor attractions and comfortable climate have earned Vancouver the title of "the world's most livable city" for many consecutive years, attracting global attention. Many Chinese people choose to immigrate and move to Vancouver, Canada, and Mr. Liu from Beijing is one of them.
Mr. Liu, who lives in Beijing, worked hard for half his life and decided to immigrate to Canada. After obtaining his Maple Leaf Card, he began preparing to move to Vancouver. Through a friend's introduction, he found "熙浦国际搬家". Out of concern for the safety of the items to be shipped, he asked very specific questions during the consultation. The customer service team at "熙浦" provided detailed answers and presented past service cases and customer reviews to add persuasiveness. After his concerns were addressed, Mr. Liu signed a contract with "熙浦" and chose them as his carrier for moving from Beijing to Vancouver.
A few days ago, "熙浦" arranged for staff to go to Mr. Liu's home in Beijing to pack and pick up the items to be shipped. There were quite a lot of items, about 19 pieces, so a 20-foot container was chosen for ocean shipping to Vancouver.

Notes for moving to Vancouver:
1. Item packaging: For furniture or other valuable, fragile, or pressure-sensitive goods, please ensure proper shipping packaging (wooden frames or wooden crates) to avoid collisions, damage or scratches during handling.
2. Prohibited items: Chemicals, food, liquids and powders, flammable and explosive dangerous goods, antiques and cultural relics, currency, gold and silver jewelry, diamond jewelry, live animals, and other items restricted by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
3. Wooden products must undergo fumigation and disinfection, and pest treatment. At the same time, wooden packaging must be free of bark, mold, water stains, and wormholes. Fumigation treatment will not cause any impact on the goods, and the gas will evaporate completely within about a week.
4. Tax exemption conditions:
(1) You have just immigrated to Canada, or obtained your Maple Leaf Card recently (within five years).
(2) The shipped items are miscellaneous, including not only large furniture but also small daily necessities such as bedding, tableware, collectibles, toys, clothes, books, tools, and accessories.
(3) Used items account for the majority, for example, more than 80% used items.
5. Canadian customs requires the consignee to appear in person at customs to answer questions and sign. The questions typically include: What is inside the shipment? Did you pack it yourself? Are there any special items? And similar simple questions. After answering, customs usually grants tax exemption on the spot. If no inspection is required, delivery can be made the next day.
