Case Summary: Mr. Zhang from Qingdao entrusted Seapoe with shipping furniture to Edmonton by sea.

Mr. Zhang from Qingdao emigrated to Canada and bought a house in Edmonton. Unwilling to part with his Chinese-style furniture at home and given the high prices of Chinese furniture abroad, he decided to ship his furniture from China to Edmonton by sea. Through a Chinese friend's introduction, Mr. Zhang found Seapoe and consulted about the moving arrangements and customs policies.

Through the conversation, Seapoe learned that all the furniture Mr. Zhang wanted to ship had been in use for over a year and totaled about 17 cubic meters, so full container load shipping was the more cost-effective option. In addition, because Canadian customs requires the applicant to appear in person for questioning during customs clearance, Mr. Zhang would still need to visit customs even though he chose door-to-door service; however, Seapoe's agent in Canada would assist him with the clearance procedures. Regarding the pricing that Mr. Zhang cared about, Seapoe's customer service representative stated that the price was reasonable—not the lowest in the industry, but offering the best value for money—and showed him past cases of customers shipping furniture to Edmonton along with their reviews. Mr. Zhang set aside his concerns, received an accurate quotation plan, and signed the international moving contract.

According to the planned schedule, Seapoe Relo arranged for staff to bring professional packing materials to Mr. Zhang's home in Qingdao to pack the furniture to be shipped. Their professional and skilled packing techniques earned Mr. Zhang's praise and dispelled all his worries. After packing was completed, the furniture was transported to Seapoe's warehouse, followed by booking space. After customs declaration was completed, the shipment went by sea to Canada. The entire process took about one and a half months.
