Case Summary: Mr. Zhu, an elderly gentleman from Shanghai, moved to Vancouver by sea to enjoy his retirement.

Several years earlier, Mr. Zhu's son had been transferred by his company to the Vancouver headquarters. A few years later, his immigrant visa was approved and he became a Canadian citizen, so he decided to bring his parents from Shanghai to Vancouver to enjoy their twilight years. After much deliberation, Mr. and Mrs. Zhu decided to accept their son's invitation and move to Vancouver to live with him.

Mr. Zhu had heard that household belongings could be shipped across countries, so he asked his son to find a reliable moving company to transport some of the family's treasured possessions. Unable to refuse his parents, the son made inquiries and engaged Seapoe Relo as the service provider for shipping his parents' furniture from Shanghai to Vancouver, choosing the door-to-door dual-customs-clearance service.

Mr. Zhu did not have many items to move—just some daily necessities and some furniture. For this, Seapoe's business consultant recommended LCL sea freight, which offers better value for money. From the on-site packing onward, Mr. Zhu did not need to be personally involved at all; the elderly couple only needed to take their valuables and personal items and fly to Vancouver first, then sit at home and wait for Seapoe to deliver to their door.

Regarding Mr. Zhu's concern about the safety of the shipment, the business consultant presented past cases and explained in detail Seapoe Relo's entire service process. From exclusive custom-made packing materials to supervised container loading with photos taken throughout, the entire process is handled transparently. Door-to-door insurance is also purchased for all shipped items, minimizing any loss of goods caused by unexpected circumstances.
